WELCOME TO CAPE!
The Center for Applied Public Economics (CAPE) was created in 2019 in response to public sector needs, with the aim of applying academic expertise to the areas of public policy evaluation and tax-benefit microsimulation.
Since its foundation, CAPE has worked on several research projects pertaining to microeconometric evaluation of policy reforms targeting the labor market, mobility, the environment, housing, public finances and education.
CAPE is a committed and dynamic team of researchers, and in full development. The flagship project of CAPE is the Belgian Arithmetic MicroSimulation Model (BEAMM) for the ex-ante simulation of tax-benefit reforms.
CAPE is a research center of the UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles and part of CEREC (Center for Research in Economics).
